It has been ages since I blogged! Well not entirely my fault now is it? Well in this period of time some changes have been effected in the company :) Employees who have been spending time on the net 'developing their social and writing skills' were nabbed and yes, you got it right I was among them :)
Lets take a journey to the beginning,...a month ago, the networking department installed a firewall called cyber-roam, naive IT birds like me asked why this was being made mandatory and I was told it was just so that the company would protect itself from harmful internet content, because I am a loyal employee ;) I supported this move to facilitate efficiency for the organization-after all we are working to get recognized out there and am a hardworking employee- After that, life continued and smoothly :)
Fast forward to one month later, I get off from a meeting and head home at around mid-day, I was not feeling so well and therefore the detour was necessary. The meeting had gone very well and I felt like a prospect buyer was coming on board soon! Good for my numbers and my portfolio- so I went home tired in body but strong in spirit it was going to be a good day. Later that night a colleague called me to 'check up' on me and I sensed that was not the entire reason he had called....then he kept throwing certain things like the Ocampo6 and I kept wondering what this topic has got to do with me ( am a Kenyan prepared to see justice come alive but the proceedings at some point were just too boring- totally uncalled for after a long day at work). Conversation keeps getting boring until he notices am loosing concentration with the amounts of ooos and aahh I kept saying. He drops the bombshell!
Well I have been siting on my chair watching suspiciously waiting for the day I will be called in for a lecture :) It has been over a week now and nothing..maybe he forgot- Must be the fact that am also trying my hand at the company's blog and he was impressed (thinking) Must be (chuckle). Today I get the change to update my blog but this will have to be under wraps. I have to look for ways to still get my fans entertained and I will find it :) I have to finish this because being that loyal employee I have got to go home :) its time...

"Vee (as he fondly calls me) You are among the *company X top ten internet users category- Dating and Matrimonial! I almost fell off my seat! Dating and matrimonial? I don't even know of any name of a site in that category let alone be on one -Only to find out it was Facebook, twitter and the likes- #shakingmyhead."It was the funniest conversation ever as I later found out that people had been called into the CEO's office and asked what the hell they had been doing siphoning 1MB of internet speeds! The next day I walk into the office and there is a cloud of hostility looming over people's heads! If people had their way, the networking guys would have been hung on the roof and left to dry...How could they send us mail and cc the CEO? Who does that?
